AOK Maine is available to provide Kindness in the Workplace workshops in 2024!
Most of us spend more time at work than in any other activity in our lives. The presence or absence of kindness in the workplace can have an enormous impact on the quality of our lives. It not only affects how we feel at work, but also bleeds out into all other aspects of our lives. AOK Maine is available to provide workshops, resource materials and guidance to help your business, non-profit, school, or other organization create a 21st century workplace of caring, kindness, and compassion.
Contact us at aokmaine@gmail.com to discuss how we can create and implement a customized program for your organization.
Invite AOK Maine to come speak to your group!
We have been giving talks at conferences, schools, clubs, and other organizations, inspiring people to take concrete action to increase kindness in their homes, communities, and the world. We'd be happy to discuss giving a talk to your organization and how we can customize it to your needs. Contact us at aokmaine@gmail.com.
KINDNESS - THE WAY LIFE SHOULD BE
In these difficult times, when loneliness is epidemic, when political differences seem to be tearing our country and communities apart, when the future seems increasingly uncertain, is there any doubt we could all use a bit more kindness?
Welcome to AOK Maine. We are a new non-profit with the goal of bringing more kindness into our lives here in Maine. We want to make kindness easier, make kindness a habit, make kindness a movement!
Kindness is about more than just being nice - kindness is about action. Kindness is about how we treat others and how we treat ourselves. Sometimes kindness is the most courageous thing we can do.
Here at Acts of Kindness Maine, we're creating activities to increase kindness in all aspects of life in Maine:
Kindness in the workplace
Kindness at home
Kindness in politics
Kindness in the schools
Kindness online
Kindness in our neighborhoods

Learn how kindness can transform your friendships, relationships, families, workplaces, schools, and communities. This course is based on three powerful steps for kindness: Awareness, Empowerment and Action. We’ll explore personal "kindness practices," conflict resolution, non-violent communication, and learn how to set boundaries kindly, apologize and forgive kindly, and have hard conversations kindly. Come meet like-minded and kind-hearted folks in the community! More info here.
